Introduction Of The Mining Transformer
The mining transformer is a movable complete set of power supply and transformation devices. It is used in mines with explosion risks such as mines with methane gas mixture and coal dust. It can be used to convert the AC voltage, for example, to convert the high voltage power supply into the low voltage power supply needed in the coal mine.
The shell of the mining transformer is whole-corrugated, with an open cover on both sides and an upper open cover structure. It has the advantages of high mechanical strength, low temperature rise, and good heat dissipation effect. The iron core is made of high-quality low loss silicon steel sheet with low no-load loss, low no-load current, and low noise. Adopting insulation material and advanced insulation structure, it has good thermal stability and can operate continuously at full load under high temperatures.
Many large-scale places have high requirements for transformers. The mining transformers have the characteristics of low energy consumption and low noise. They are widely used in some shopping malls, gymnasiums, railway stations, airports, mines, and so on. The use of the mining transformer needs regular maintenance to check whether all parts are in good condition. Because the mining transformer can adapt to the humid environment, it is necessary to do a regular transformer testing whether the parts of the transformer are corroded and whether the operation is normal.
The mining transformer can be used for the central substation in an underground coal mine, pit bottom, central air inlet, and main air inlet, and can be used for mine lighting or power supply transformer of electric drive in a humid environment of the tunnel.
